I am not sure why my type comes out small because I set it at 12pt and on my computer it reads larger but my I Pad it shows up very small. If someone knows what I am doing wrong please let me know how to correct it. Thank you everyone for your kind words and for welcoming me.
Crofty, I hope you continue to stay healthy. I only had to do radiation and I am almost through that. They told me I have a 93% chance that everything will be fine and I will take that since no one is guaranteed 100%.
My husband has read Steve Hassen's first and last book which has helped him in dealing with the ones he has been able to help. I still need to read them and will when things settle down a little. Our therapist has offered us her office if we want to have a support group and maybe that will come with time. We would love to find others in our area to talk to.
Today my husband told his Bible student the real truth. He hasn't been able to meet with him for awhile because both had a lot to do but he could not pass him on to someone else. They are going to meet again and talk some more. It went better than he thought.
Thanks again for your support.

I am so newly out that I haven't sorted it all out. I grew up as a Presbyterian and in my mid 20's a JW. I feel I am a Christian but right now I am so angry at what religion has done to me and others I just don't know for sure. I am confused!

This reminds me of the secretary of the congregation we use to go to. We would go out to dinner and he would complain about his meal and then short the tip. I always threw in extra to cover it beause it wasn't right. Then he would give the part about the DC and tipping!! We got to the point where we wouldn't go out with them because of his behavior. They were also the couple that would order the small meal then eat off of everyone's plate!

I took the survey. Very interesting and I am looking forward to see the end results after the survey has been completed.

Hello??
by franticfran ini have just joined this website and just wanted to say hello to anyone out there.
i am so nervous, after thirty odd years in the "truth" i feel as though my husband and i have just walked into a room full of smiling strangers and we are just standing here hoping to god someone will come up and speak to us.
scared and excited and hoping to wake up one morning and not wonder what we do now???

The Internet has been a lifesaver for victims of Cults of all sorts .Is it then the beginning of the end for Cults ?
by smiddy insince the internet has been available to people all over the earth, their has been an explosion of information going out that is unprecedented in the history of the world .. and one , just one of the beneficiaries of this knowedge are victims of cults who can relate to people who have undergone similar experiences and can offer help and encouragement to other victims .and this is done on a global scale .with what we are witnessing on this site with newbies joining on an almost daily basis , i live in hope that the writing is indeed on the wall for cults of all sorts.
do you agree ?.
smiddy.

I am so thankful for the Internet and all the information we have at our fingertips. It would have been a different story if this would have been available when I came in. I just wish more weren't afraid to go on line and read about it. It is also interesting that two new books just came out about Scientology, I wish there were some new books about JW's so cults would be a big news topic.

I am so sorry to hear what you are going through. It makes me so sad that this religion continues to break up so many families. There were many wonderful suggestions given but just love him and enjoy every day you have with him. I too would read the books by Steve Hassen so you can help him see the real truth and you would be able to do it without losing him. My thoughts are with you and I hope this will work out for you in the end. I said to my husband "where is the Bible does it say we are suppose to cut off our family"? Hang in there!

Hi! I'm New Here
by alecholmesthedetective inhi there, as was suggested to me, i'm starting this thread to say hi to everyone.. my awakening began recently, after the new light on the 'slave'.
i felt it didn't add up and went to check and found out ttatt.
for a while i tried to find evidence of whether the wt might still be god's organization, i needn't say i couldn't.. i had already resigned as a ministerial servant and a pioneer, had already had several issues with the elders and did not put up with their nonsense for a long.

My husband was a MS then and elder for many years and was also on the regional building committee. He didn't like all of the BS that went on and the way the brothers and sisters were treated. He avoided doing JC as much as possible because he felt they were too harsh and he also can look back with a clean conscience on the way he treated others. Bt the way my husband is Dazed and Confused but he hasn't started to post yet.
